Just about, everyone has seen the infomercial or received some sort of promotional advertisement in the mail. Why Bare Minerals make-up? Because from one woman’s point of view it lives up to the claims in the infomercials and promises guarantees that are unbelievable. There is nothing to lose except the opportunity to have a smoother looking complexion and wearing make-up without the feeling of wearing make-up.

Bare minerals make up releases you from the heavy caked on feeling of ordinary foundations. It also allows your skin to breathe as if you were wearing nothing at all. As a test, I decided to do the same test they do on the actual Bare Minerals website. I took a flower, applied the Bare Minerals foundation to one petal, took a leading liquid foundation, and applied it to another petal on the same flower. I left it there overnight, just as they did on the website and to my amazement; it did the exact same thing as the video clip. I began to wonder what liquid foundation was doing to someone’s skin.

Not really ever wearing liquid foundation because I did not like the feeling, the acne that developed or the make-up line it would leave, let alone standing in front of the make-up display trying to figure out what color to choose. I noticed that my friends who did wear liquid foundation look so much older than me. Here we are the same age, even those who were younger than me and because I chose not to apply this liquid mess to my face, I looked years younger than they did.

So why try Bare Minerals? It was sitting there on my mother-in-laws bathroom counter, I had seen the infomercials for it, and curiosity jumped all over me. After applying the make-up and getting the reaction from my husband, who always seemed not to notice anything different, I was sold. I ordered my own set of Bare Minerals make-up and now I get those complements everyday, you know the ones you all want your husband to make and will try anything to get him to make them. There is nothing better than hearing someone say “when you reach 40 you will find out” and realizing they have no clue that you are 41.
